Each area in Ásaterra is divided into 7 smaller districts, which are governed by a territory leader. These leaders have different names and come into their power different ways depending on the province their territory resides in. Frithstede is the only area in Ásaterra that is not further split up, but is the capital city of Ásaterra.

- The East / The Circle of the Arcane - The East is split up into Territories.
- The South / The Warriors of the Dark Sun - The South is split up into Thanedoms.
- The West, and The Guild of Croesus - The West is split up into Provinces.
